The current volunteer co-ordinators contact
is volunteers@futurenet.co.za
her name is Vicky and she is really good. We have 6 long term
volunteers here at gateway at the moment (over 2yrs) and +- 12 short term
volunteers 3 months to a yr. the important thing to remember
is that you are not necesarily coming to do a 'job' but to transfer skills
and help others grow. GREAT!!!
If you want to get info through us just email us
directly at info@robdeb.com
We can then pass it on as needed.

Thank you to all of you who have
experessed an interest in coming out individually or as part of a
team. Every thing that happens in terms of people and teams coming
has to go through firstly the Volunteere co-ordinator and then be approved
by the Chief executive of gateway. We can't make any decision so
please do hang in there and be patient with us also. One problem is
that Lydia the coordinator is leaving next week so the co-ordination of
this will ultimately slow down. So I'm not sure what will happen.
What ever happens to need to cantact volunteers@projectgateway.co.za
to get an application form. Just let us know aswell, thanks.

6 SEPT 2003 |
The project Co-ordinator is Lydia volunteers@projectgateway.co.za
so if you want a form give her a call.
We do have some needs and you can think about
them. Sponsering a family garden cost about £10. Each
garden is a life line for the families. Sponsering a vlounteer to do
the work costs about £25 per month.
We have people knitting for us and the blessing for the
children having ther e own thing is amazing.
Just think of a good idea and let us know

Pray for people from here to come forward as
workers, motivated and with a good and honest heart.
Also for project costs. This week got word that
someone sold their necklace for £125. This alone would support a
foster family placement for 3 months or a childs school fees in the
poorest schooling for 2 years.
Any fund raising ideas let us know
thanks

There really is so much to do over hear from working / playing with
children, spending time with families and/ or helping break down
stereotypes about both 'blacks' and 'whites' and so understanding each others
needs. Let us know where your heart is, even if in a very small way and we
will see. We are learning that prayer has to be at the fore front. There
are so many sick people here that Gods love, grace and mracles are being
seen.##let us know if you want tobe involved, r&d
